QA Engineer (Internship)

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer intern to develop and execute and automated tests to ensure product quality. The intern will work in a small, close-knit product team of engineers and designers.

This is a 4-month full-time remote internship (you’ll be working from home) with potential for full-time employment at the end of the period. Despite being remote, you’ll be communicating and pair-programming with the team very frequently. As such, a stable internet connection is necessary.

What you gotta do

  • Learn how to plan, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Contribute to the growth of the team and culture by helping us refine the product, team process, and being your awesome self

Our ideal candidate has...

  • A CS or web development background
  • A stable internet connection and can function well remotely and independently
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of Javascript
  • Good English/Filipino communication and presentation skills
  • A “Growth Mindset” and eagerness to learn and receive constructive feedback at a fast-paced environment
